Description: Huge, 60mm (excluding crown and canteen guard!) Cold War Era USSR divers watch. The white flecks are on the outside of the glass from my gloves. Dial is great. It’s running but I don’t know when it was last serviced. The last one of these divers watches sold for £900 on here so I’ve definitely factored that into my price! It seems to keep good time but definitely factor in a service at some point if you plan on using regularly. The Poljot type movements are only accessible by removing the glass and dial so I am not able to take photographs of the movement. They are however extremely strong and simple movements and parts are extremely easy to get hold of if they were ever required. It was water resistant to 700m when made but that could be 50 years ago, or even longer so of course that is not guaranteed now! It would need servicing and pressure testing before using in anger. These were used my submariners as well as divers. The papers state that it was made in 1976. How accurate that is I couldn’t say as not everything was accurately recorded in the Soviet Union but this is exactly how it came as is sold as seen. This could be newer than stated on the papers but it could also be older and the “no rad” certification might not be accurate. The box and papers may have been added later. Officially or otherwise. It’s so hard to say with Soviet stuff. A great looking set that looks as good in a display cabinet as it does on the wrist. I have it in my display cabinet and I’m in no rush to sell.
