Description: Huge, 60mm (excluding crown and canteen guard) USSR CCCP divers watch. Stunning dial featuring a Soviet Diver. The white flecks are on top of the glass from my gloves. The dial is in great order. Tons of conflicting information on these watches so it’s sold as a ZChZ “STYLE/TYPE” watch of indeterminate age. It’s running but I don’t know when it was last serviced. The last one of these sold for £900 on here so I’ve definitely factored that into my price! It seems to keep good time but definitely factor in a service at work point if you plan on using regularly. The Poljot type movements are only accessible by removing the glass and dial so I am not able to take photographs of the movement. They are however extremely strong and simple movements and parts are extremely easy to get hold of if they were ever required. It was water resistant to 700m when made but as this could have been almost 50 years ago that of course is not guaranteed now! It would need servicing and pressure testing before using in anger. The papers state that it was made in 1976. How accurate that is I couldn’t say as not everything was accurately recorded in the Soviet Union and at its collapse but this is exactly how it came as is sold as seen. A great looking set that looks as good in a display cabinet as it does on the wrist. I have it in my display cabinet and I’m in no rush to sell. I’ve priced this way in line with what they sell for and is less than the last one sold on here for.
