Likely manufactured around the 1890's or very early 1900's but the exact date is unknown. Certainly very old and original. Measures approx 30" wide x 21" deep x 14" high. Shows plenty of wear and tear and patina but displays beautifully and would look great displayed in your general store, coffee shop, bed and breakfast etc. The images and font are debossed into the wood. Years ago a non original lid with hinges was added and the top of one side of the crate was cut in 2 places to accommodate the lid frame. I have removed and discarded this lid. I took close up pics of the cut outs. I believe that 2 pieces of wood were added to the inside to support the lid hinges. Please expect the item to show various areas of wear and tear and patina, as the item is very old and used, so please do not expect a mint condition item, as this is not. I'm not trying to degrade the item, just trying to be thorough. Pics should tell the story. Will be well packaged and insured for safe delivery. The shipping is merely an estimate.
