My grandparents brought it to the USA from Riga, Latvia , in 1977. It’s been in the family since the 1960’s, when it was found washed up on the beach. Slight polishing was given to clean it up a bit, so it is smooth and shiny in some areas, slightly rough in others. It is marvelously translucent and displaying it with a light gives a magic effect. There are many inclusions in this big piece of Amber. I cannot tell whether some of the things that are deep inside of it are insects or not but I’m pretty sure there is a piece of petrified wood in it.
