Description: This auction features an incredibly rare, huge Seguso Vetri D'Arte Summerso Lamp Base - SVdA. This breathtaking piece is done in a gorgeous amethyst/purple and dates from the 1960's. This is an exceptional piece of Murano Art Glass. It weighs an impressive 23 1/4 pounds, unpacked and measures approximately 19 inches tall by 6 inches wide. Experts have stated the hole has a chamfered edge and was made with a hole polisher at the factory. It would have had a base. We have included many images of this exceptional piece to portray in in a variety of different lights and settings. Photos provide the best description. (can is shown for scale) If inspected very closely there are a few very light, surface scratches as would be expected on a piece of this age. They are not easily noticeable.
