Description: JAGUAR JADEITE JADE TUBE BEAD FROM GUATEMALA Here is a very large tube bead that will make the perfect focal bead for a necklace. It was carved from a super dark green that almost looks black. This jade is called "Avocado". It has a really neat inclusion of gold pyrite, making it super unique. It does not have a mirror polish, which adds to the rustic ancient feel of the bead. These are chunks of Guatemalan Jade as was used by the Ancient Maya. It comes from the Motagua River Valley in Guatemala, where it can be found in the ground and stream.All of our jade was taken out by hand. No machinery was used. 10 percent goes to the Casita Copan Children's home! Measures: 37 x 17 mm with a 3mm hole.
