Brother Jerome was born in Minneapolis and studied art at the University of Notre Dame, Washington University in St. Louis, and the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has a master’s degree in art education, and received several grants to study at the Villa Schifanoia School of Fine Arts in Florence, where he was awarded the the Master of Fine Arts. Currently, Brother Jerome directs the Lasallian International Art and Culture Center in Florence. This center is dedicated to providing a place for contemplation, creation, and communication in the modern world, from fostering an upbuilding community among its members to creating brilliant works of art, like Brother Jerome’s sculptures.
