Description: Huge Old 16 Inch tall Vintage Perko Brass Buoy Marker Fresnel Lens Nautical Décor Great Nautical Piece! Marked “PERKO” inside the screw-in top. All Brass with molded glass Fresnel Lens. Mounted on a solid Mahogany wood base. Approximate Measurements: 16 inches tall, and 12 inches diameter. The glass Fresnel lens is about 7 ¼ inches tall, and about 7 ½ inches in diameter, Solid and sturdy - HEAVY Glass has no chips or cracks (I've looked it over several times with a flash light and I only see bubbles in the glass). There are bubbles in the glass created during manufacturing, and mold seams. There appears to be some kind of gray cement on the glass in a few areas that looks like it is splatter. Brass body appears to be complete and intact.Brass on the exterior is oxidized as one would expect from age and exposure. There are dings to the brass. The wood base is scratched. Please see our photos. I believe the internal electrical components may have been added later to make it into functional décor lighting. Has a working standard base bulb socket interior, with in-line On/Off switch. LED pictured, but no bulb included. Approximate Weight: 18 lbs., 4 oz.
