Description: This magnificent vase or jardiniere by Weller Pottery is a stunning example of the Arts & Crafts Movement. With a Birdimal pattern and a glossy finish, it is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of its creator, Frederick Hurten Rhead. Made in the United States in 1903, this vase is a rare and valuable piece of art pottery. I have been unable to find any other examples of this decor in the same form so large. It stands an impressive 11 1/4” tall by 13 3/4” in diameter at its widest point. It is in generally fine condition with typical glaze crazing and one small flaked off piece of glaze to the body which measures roughly 5mm and can be seen in the last photo. It rings properly when the rim is tapped and none of the crazing penetrates to the other side. Please view all photos carefully to get the best understanding of its condition which is quite good in our opinion. Please allow a little extra time for shipping as we will need to locate a larger box than our known stores carry. Please take a look at our other listings!
