It was tested with a dual polarity bench supply and was considered to be working. It will produce a 1mV AC / 1mA of AC current up to 1Arms. A 60Hz 100mA and 400mA current was used and measured with a Fluke DMM. Both readings were within 5%. Still, calibration and a capacitor update may be in order. This is a great candidate for a cheap and easy LM317 regulator conversion. The plate that holds the batteries is easily removable with screws. The mercury batteries shown are dead.
