Description: This is a collection of items that was assembled by our mom on several of her trips to Paris. She was a Francophile and loved all things France and all things Ritz Paris. She stayed at the Ritz Paris for the ringing in of the Millennial in 1999. On both trips she purchased dish ware, glassware, books and fragrances. She also kept multiple souvenirs from the room. The Ritz was like her "Disneyland" and she spent as much time there as she could afford! She was excited to purchase souvenirs to bring home and use. She was devastated when we learned that this was the last place Princess Diana had been before her death. She was also a great fan of the royal family. The plates for the 100th anniversary were designed by Yves Desboulieres the successor of "La Maison Hache" who crafted an authentic reproduction of the "Marthe" pattern to grace the tables of the Ritz Paris as well as private homes. It is embellished with a delicate Louis XlV style border in two tones of blue and gold. We are hoping somebody who is also a huge fan will enjoy these items. There was a huge auction held in 2018 so possibly somebody who missed out on acquiring pieces during that auction. Based on the price of just the dishes alone this collection is worth well over 2000 dollars. We have tried to price it fairly. Please ask any questions before purchasing. All sales are final. We are happy to share any other details you would like or any additional photos. Included in this listing: 1. New in Box 100th Anniversary Ashtray in the "Marthe" original pattern. Sells for $500.2. Brand new deck of playing cards in wrapper with box. Sells for $25 The remaining souvenirs from the room and the boutiques in the Gallery. A very well used porcelain cup in a beautiful Ritz pattern of pinks and blues (there is damage inside and near the rim, so it is just decorative) 2 used glass cocktail stirrers 2 pens with Ritz logo, 2 pairs of disposable slippersunused shower cap in its boxwrapped round soap-newunused soap with plastic container unused emery board set in an oversized matchbook style packsugar cubes (she thought the packaging was so cute), sweetener packs (she had to have anything with the Ritz Paris logo), body wash and shampoo bottles (used) There is also a small blue ritz handle shopping bag. We do not recommend using any of the sugar cubes or sweetener packets as they are very old however we included them since some collectors like them for display. Or for a movie set? You never know! To purchase all these items would cost well over $2500 and sometimes even more at auction.
