Description: The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is a Native American reservation occupying of southeastern Oklahoma in the United States. At roughly 6,952,960 acres, it is the second-largest reservation in area after the Navajo, exceeding that of eight U.S. states. The seat of government is located in Durant, Oklahoma. As of 2011, the tribe has 223,279 enrolled members, of whom 84,670 live within the state of Oklahoma and 41,616 live within the Choctaw Nation’s jurisdiction. According to Wikipedia the Principal Chief of the Nation was Jackson McCurtin from 1880 to 1884 with his brother Edmund McCurtain following from 1884 to 1886. This is a “Kodak Real Photo Card” with “Home of Chief of Choctaw Nation -1884, Owned by Robert Stilles, Broken Bow Ok”, written on the front. The card is in very good condition with minor wear and a clean, clear image and reverse.
