Description: This is a used Holley LIST 1848-1 carburetor. It is a 450 CFM vacuum secondary 4 four barrel carburetor. The air horn is stamped with the list number 1848-1 and the date code 2709. These were originally intended as service replacements for Fords and Mercurys from the fifties and sixties with Autolite 4100 and Holley 4150 4 barrel carbs. It has manual choke linkage and also has the Ford style throttle lever. I have seen these used as a replacement for the original carb on 1957 Thunderbirds and Fords.Holley literature shows the application as:1958-60 Ford, Edsel & T-Bird with 332, 352, &361 engineI believe this carb would work on other years and similar vehicles with minor modifications. Please do your own research to be sure that this carburetor is correct for your application. These are often used on hot rods, rat rods, 2x4, dual quad intakes, etc. They can also be used as a replacement for Ford, Chevy, and Mopar original equipment applications that came with a Holley carb. The front metering block is stamped 2573 which is correct for this carb. This Holly is a rebuildable core that is complete and has no cracked or broken parts, and all moving parts move freely. I don't know the current working condition of this carb, so I'm assuming that it will need to be rebuilt. I am selling it as-is, but I will guarantee it to be received as described and to be rebuildable if needed.See my other items for other carbs that I have listed.
