Description: Holgate toy production can trace their company origin to 1789. This educational toy was used in the nations newly developed Kindergarten Program after research indicated child development benefits from preschool learning. This item can be described as a Barge-type water vehicle with smaller sets arranged on the deck. There may be one missing item because there looks to be room for one more, not certain about this. Also, a wooden block representing the helm, appears to be missing on the blue deck set. The logo located on the deck is partially worn away. This particular logo was used between the years 1938 to 1945. It measures approximately 10.5" long,4.5" wide and 2.5" high. There is a small droplet of grey paint close to the logo.
