Description: Own a piece of music history! This is a very high quality, custom made 4 string tenor banjo done by master luthier Perry McKinley of Jeromesville, Ohio. Helen Baker is in the Banjo HOF and museum, along with Earl Scruggs. It plays very well and nice and smooth. It has EXCELLENT tone and resonance. A "non-invasive" pickup was installed for her to play it through an amplifier or PA system. It has very high quality Mother Of Pearl inlays on the rosewood fretboard and headstock. Although it fits perfectly into its Gibson case, I don't believe it's made of 100% Gibson parts. It is evident that she played it some, as the Remo head skin and the back of the neck show signs of wear/ use. It also has a muting bar. Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. My ebay store is veteran owned and operated. Good luck!
