Upgraded to knuckled couplers. New upgraded axle gears. Air lines is a nice touch. Amazing details on this well built quality brand. I have some Athearn engines from the 1990's that are still running just as good as this new one. The axle gears and the motors on these are bullet proofed and will not fail. If you are a beginner and are looking for a reliable engine then Athearn is what you want.
