E8/9, road #6910This is a used HO scale Proto 2000 Series model of an EMD E8/9A and delivers accurate detail with factory installed parts and brings to the modeler an accurate model of this legendary passenger engine. Please note that there is no DCC plug. I bought this locomotive over 25+ years ago and it sat in my display cabinet for almost 23 of those years. The model has been tested and it runs smoothly in both directions. Having said that, a good cleaning of the motor and drivetrain may be warranted in the not to distant future. The engine head light is fully functional when traveling in the forward direction. The model has the front coupler pocket and knuckle style couplers included. Also note that ALL of the axle covers are intact. This was a known issue with the early E-models from Proto 2000, the axle covers would come off and, because of the size, impossible to find.The original box and Operating Instructions documentation are available and will be included. The box is showing some shelf wear. Please note that the original styrofoam insert for the shell is missing. The model will be securely packed for shipment, check our feedback.
