Description: These are the FIRST HO guage plastic cars produced in the mid 1950 by John A. English, which were his Hobbyline passenger cars. The sets had one combine and two Day coaches. These NYC passenger 65" combine and "Day" coaches were not part of a set. The cars have wooden floors with plastic underbody equipment castings, and, metal trucks and wheels. I hand crafted bulk heads & back to back seats with head towels. Each car has 6 passengers added (today Bachmamn sets of 6 passengers cost $15.36) . The cars have added track powered lighting, diaphragms and Kadee Couplers. You will probably not find Hobbyline, ( I couldn't), and the tooling for these cars went to Penn Line, Varney and Lifelike in that order. In short these are unique, one of a kind and collector items. They saw little use but many years of storage. They were stored in atlas track boxes. The axle pick ups are brass wire.
