New Solid rivets included.New 3/16 Drill bit included.New set of Button head bolts included in case you want to bolt on instead of rivets Installation instructions: Drill the 16 rivets heads off, use the included 3/16 drill bit, currently installed in the center portion of the tailgateCarefully use a small chisel to remove the heads completelyUse a drift punch to punch out the solid part of the rivet in existing holesClean up tailgate. Use soap and water, Alcohol or other cleaner.I recommend installing a small amount of caulking between the new panel and the existing tailgate to keep dirt from being trapped.After installing the caulking, Lay the new insert onto the tailgate, aligning up the holes as best as possible.Place a couple of the rivets in the hols at opposite ends, to help with the alignment.Start on the middle of the insert. Very important to start from the middle not the ends.Place the 4 middle rivet into hole, Hold a hammer on the bottom end of the rivet, Tap the head of the rivet with a hammer.You will need to hit the rivet multiple times to expand it inside the hole. Be careful not to slip off the rivet and hit the new panel.If you have an air hammer, You can get a solid rivet anvil for the air hammer, makes job real easy and safe from damage.Once the middle 4 rivets have been installed, start installing the rest from the middle outwards, ON BOTH SIDES !Once all rivets are installed, wipe off any caulking that escaped from around the outside of the panel.
