Description: HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIAN MUSICBy SWAMI PRAJNANANANDA 456 pages This book is one of the seminal texts on Indian classical music. The cover is in very good condition. The pages also in very good condition except for yellowing due to aging. The jacket was torn so I taped it into the book. I have taped both sides of the first page and the inside of the back cover where they were slightly separated from the binding. Strangely, the first sheet of the contents wasn't included in the original book. The sequential page numbers indicate this. The book was owned by Pandit Amiya Dasgupta who was one of Pandit Ravi Shankar's first disciples, studying with him from 1949 until his passing in 1994.
