The thermocouple is a special no-pull-out design. The thermocouple is designed to be interted into a 13/64" hole in the kiln. When the end of the thermocouple is inside the kiln, turn the thermocouple to a horizontal position and pull gently. The loop will keep the thermocouple in the kiln, greatly reducing the chances of having the thermocuople accidentally pulling out of the kiln. 2372 F Max Temp for the Pyrometer. Maximum continuous (24/7) use for thermocouple is 1562F. Tk can be used at higher temperatures for less time.
