Description: This is a great Victorian bustle overdress- c.1872. It's made of a light muslin perfect for summer wear. It's loose fit suggests an informal use, like a morning robe. It is unlined and closes with tiny pearl buttons. The tie at the waist is not original to the dress, but it is Victorian/Edwardian. It is full of Victorian details- pleats, ruffles, tucks and puffs. The silk bows are included, but were made by me, so they're not original. *Condition: Small holes, repairs, etc... Overall- A fantastic example of Victorian dress. The large size makes it very suitable for study, patterning and display, But it is not wearable. * Measurements: 40" waist, 40" chest, 15.5" across the shoulders. *Please ask all questions before bidding- Thank you!
