Description: Hialeah Park - Flamingo Isle - Infield - Grandstand - Curt Teich 1C-H669 - 1951 An H in the ID is C.T. Art Colortone (Full color), a five-color process made on linen-finish stock from a black-and-white photo. Hialeah Park opened in 1922 for greyhound and horse racing, with the first race day in 1925 for the Miami Jockey Club. It was considered the most beautiful track in the world and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The race tracks in Florida fought over the covert winter racing dates, which doomed Hialeah. The current owner tried to return to racing but only with quarter horses, and that was a failure. The stables have been torn down today, and the buildings are a casino. My collection of over 2,500 postcards of horse race tracks and related subjects is a treasure trove for enthusiasts. It includes present-day tracks and those that are now just memories, each postcard a unique piece of history. Your interest in my collection is truly appreciated. If you decide to make multiple purchases, I will adjust the shipping cost and refund you the balance. Your support is invaluable and means a lot to me. Questions, send me a message.
