Description: HERITAGE VILLAGE COLLECTION DEPT. 56 DELIVERING COAL FOR THE HEARTH 58326 BOXED, SET OF 2. This auction is for a delightful Christmas/Holiday collectible set from Department 56, Item #58326. Created as part of the Heritage Village Collection, it is a pair of two hand painted porcelain accessories entitled, “Delivering Coal for the Hearth.” The first piece features a grey colored horse pulling a cart full of coal behind it while being led by a young boy through the snow. The other is a chimney sweep walking through the snow with a broom over one shoulder and a pail in hand. Also included are two extra pails to be attached to the rear of the cart. The larger piece measures a little over 5” long x 1 ¾” deep x 2 ¼” high and weighs 7 ounces. The wheels on the cart are made of metal and move when turned. On the bottom of each is the copyright and Maker’s Mark, ‘D 56.’ They are in excellent condition, with no chips/cracks and includes the green Heritage Village Collection tag, are in original plastic wrap and box (any wear due to storage).
