Description: A beautiful Henry Troemner weight set by one of the most famous scientific instrument names in US history. The set consists of 14 brass weights (1g to 1000g) and 8 aluminum microweights (10mg to 500mg) and the original tweezers, all housed in a fitted mahogany box with the Troemner label on top. Three of the aluminum pieces (200mg, 20mg, 20mg) are missing and could easily be replaced - Troemner is still very much in business (located in Thorofare NJ - ironically about five miles from my house). The mahogany box is beautiful and mint - it is a french fitted box and was made specifically to house these weights. A wonderful set in every way, which I would place circa 50's/ 60's era (strictly a guess on my part because of the brass weights and wood box).
