From the Helmar Auctions and Website: This HELMAR 6-UP DIECUT set consists of 77 cards and is a RETIRED set. 55 of these cards featurebig league teams, while the remainder consists of seldom-seen minor leaguecities such as Rochester, New York; Portland, Oregon; Oakland, California; andJersey City, New Jersey. Each card has multiple layers, and oval, die-cut holesfor the player portraits. Each 4.5" x 6" card is sturdy and durable.They’ll take you back a century. Given the scope, the expense and thecomplexity for a small company or artist to put together such a big set oforiginal art, no one else may ever attempt to create a set this ambitious. Helmar cards are printed on paper stock consistent with themost treasured card sets of the late 19th century, and early 20th century.
