Description: Antique PRIMITIVE HEINZ Mince Meat Wood FIRKIN w/Original Labels 12”RARE W/LID! ANTIQUE H.J. HEINZ COMPANY 12”MINCE MEAT WOOD FIRKIN - W/ORIGINAL LABELS & LID! - Ca. 1883-1899 ! Up for sale is a FANTASTIC antique wooden firkin. It is hand-made with the original copper nails. The staves are clean and tight., the bottom of the interior is all wood. The handle is attached with wooden nails. The HEINZ labels are original and still about 80% there. The lid fits nicely which makes this piece complete. There is a copper band around the bottom of the firkin. A wood chip is missing along the top band and there are some scratches along the wood sides, but this does not deter from the beauty of this piece. The firkin stands approximately 12”tall w/o handle. Iit is 12 in diameter at the top and approximately 12 1/2" at the bottom. Overall, this firkin has great color & eye-appeal and is in condition appropriate to it's age. CONDITION: This firkin is in excellent condition for its age. This size is super rare with the labels primarily intact!! And the lid as well in greatttt condition for the age! The label on top is coming loose and I will put the loose pieces in a bag when I ship it! I’ve never seen one this size with the lid , handle and both labels!!
