Description: RARE vintage Heckle and Jeckle ( not sure which one this is) late 1940's,1950's or 1960's black vinyl Naugahyde & felt toy doll figure.-- Vintage Heckle or is it Jeckle vinyl Naugahyde type figure. Super shape.Doll is around 6" tall With wires inside legs and arms for bendability and little felt hat and bow tie. Super rare & hard to find. I can't find much information on these and there is no label or tag. Heckle and Jeckle are postwar animated cartoon characters created by Paul Terry, originally produced at his own Terrytoons animation studio in 1946 and released through 20th Century Fox.The Talking Magpies, released January 4, 1946, was the first Terrytoons cartoon to feature the pair of wisecracking magpies.who usually cause problems to others and for themselves with their bizarre antics. Heckle speaks in a tough New York style manner, while Jeckle has a more polite British accent. Provenance: When I bought it in 1990 at a flea market in Dallas,Texas, the person told me they thought it was from a State Fair, circus or amusement park & people could win these for whatever game it was they were playing. I can't find any other information on these piece of American memorabilia.
