The cover is in good shape with wear, tears and fraying and small stains, cover is very pretty in a nice gilt Victorian decorated design. The spine end has a nice design, some fraying and rubbing on the ends, front with missing chip, chipping and fraying on the ends. The boards and corners are in good shape with some denting and scuffing, some rubbing through on the tips and boards. The front hinge is cracked, the binding is somewhat loose with sections are pulled. The pages are bright and clean, first front endpage to frontispiece is loose, the frontispiece is missing-rest of illustrations are present, name in pen on ffep, last back endpage is missing, some light toning and foxing, a few minor waterstain marks on some page edges and plates, book is nice.
