Description: This 1978 British album from Argo (ZRG 867) features performances of several works by Joseph Haydn: Mariazeller Mass, Mechanical Clock Pieces Nos. 3, 6, 7, and 8, and Little Organ Mass. The works are performed by featured soloists Jennifer Smith, Helen Watts, Robert Tear, Benjamin Luxon, and John Scott, as well as The Choir of St. John's College, Cambridge, directed by George Guest, also featuring The Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, led by Neville Marriner. Album notes are in English by Nicholas Kenyon. There is a cutout at the top right corner that cuts through both the outer and inner sleeves. The outer sleeve also shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2). Also included is a photocopy of the original album review from the October 1978 edition of The Gramophone.
