Description: Haviland Limoges Hand Painted Aesthetic Cottage Landscape Vase Circa 1877 Antique French porcelain handled vase with four small feet. Nicely decorated in the Aesthetic style with a hand painted landscape scene with cottage, bridge or pier over water, mountains and trees framed in gold gilding, and two smaller landscape scenes on each end. With an overall pale yellow background. Has hand painted Aesthetic panels in brown and cobalt blue with gold gilt designs. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom H & C with two lines below. This mark was used by Haviland in Limoges France in 1877. Has a lot of wear to the gilding, but no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 inches long x 3 1/2 inches wide x 5 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
