On a micro scale, it is a slice of local life when these individuals were everyday persons growing up anywhere from log cabins to families of wealth. From the back woods, to rural America, or America's emerging metropolises. It is a taste of an era. This series is sometimes overlooked simply because people are not biography readers. However, I was amazed at how much is here beyond just biography. If you have any inkling you want to collect this series, you need to get started now while most prices are still reasonable.Condition: Leather is bright with only light sign of shelf wear. Light marr to gilt page ends. The mark you see on the left side of the back page ends is glint off pages slightly turned (shown closer in the top cut of photo 4).
