This ISO 200, C41 color negative film is the first of its kind to be entirely produced, from emulsion to cassette, at our Mobberley factory, marking a significant milestone in our journey. The Phoenix 200 is known for its high contrast and pronounced, visible grain, which contribute to its unmistakable analogue results, setting it apart from other color films. It comes in a DX coded cassette and has a box speed of ISO 200, allowing it to be rated between ISO 100 and 400. However, it shines brightest under good, consistent lighting conditions. When used on brighter days or while shooting into the light, the Phoenix 200 may exhibit halation, adding another layer of intrigue to your photographs. It is known for delivering vibrant, punchy colors, although the final results may vary based on different scanners and settings. To achieve the best results, we recommend metering for the mid-tones to retain shadow or highlight detail, as the Phoenix 200 doesn't respond well to over or underexposure. This film is all about embracing the unexpected, from its uniquely colored negatives to occasional coating anomalies.
