Description: You are bidding on a set of SIX Civil War Confederate 54 mm Accurate soldiers, which I hand painted to represent the 13th South Carolina Regiment during the Battle of 2nd Manassas fought in the Eastern theatre! The battle turned into a rout when Union General John Pope totally missed the size of the Confederate Armies he faced, and was thouroughly beaten by General Robert E. Lee's capable Generals Longstreet and Stonewall Jackson! The 13th South Carolina Regiment responded to the call early in the war, reporting in the State of Virginia to gettimg into the action during the Seven Days Battle, where they were engaged at Gaines Mills and Frayser's Farm! The regiment fought at most of the Eastern theatre battles, and normally found themselves in the midst of the action sustaining some high casuaty rates at both Second Manassas and Gettysburg! The set features one kneeling firing soldier, a standing firing pose, two diffently posed charging figures, one in a slouch hat and wearing a kepi, one advancing figure in a kepi, and the officer encourgaing his troops with his revolver out and his sword waving over his head! All six figures come dressed in typical Confederate uniforms by that point of the war, with a light and dark gray shades some with butternut trousers, and at least one with sky blue trousers! Belts, straps and and boots were normally non-blackened leather, although cartridge boxes and some equipment was taken from dead Union soldiers or Union prisoners, as such equipment was hard to find and more durable than their regularly issued equipment. I painted their weapons and equipment to accurately depict them as they would have looked during the Civil War! And keep in mind I will combine shipping for two or more sets that you win in the same week! After hand painting all of my soldiers and accessories with quality acrylic paints (bright trim is done in enamel), I overcoat them with acrylic flat finish to give them a museum type finish as well as giving them a protective coat over the painted details. After completion, I sign and date the bases! This highly detailed and VERY UNIQUE 13th South Carolina Infantry set would make an interesting looking display in most anyone's Civil War display or 54 mm toy soldier collection!! And with the 150th Anniversary of this momentous event in our Nation's history having recently concluded, a neat way to display your remembrance of the Civil War! I've hand painted over 22,650 soldiers for collectors in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and even Japan in the last twenty years! My Civil War background began as a child on my first trip to Gettysburg, over 50 years ago, and I suit up in my complete Union Artillery sergeant's uniform to teach the Civil War to my late wife's 5th Grade class each year! Check my feedback to see what my 3,253 customers think of my figures! I also accept ebay's payment system or PayPal for payment, and buyer would be responsible for $10.50 Priority Mail shipping and insurance. (The postage price went up AGAIN!?!? GOOD LUCK IN THE BIDDING!! And be sure to see my ebay hand painted soldiers each week! Pay me securely with any major credit card through ebay's new payment system or with PayPal!
