The knife has brass pins, a brass guard, as well as a brass lanyard hole. A hand sewn, leather sheath is included. The knife listed is hand forged by a local knifemaker and is made to be used (as a knife). The knife is heat treated, tempered and made from high carbon steel. The knifemaker has sold knives across the United States and Europe with no complaints in workmanship. Please do not ask questions concerning the process of how the knife was made. To sum up the process again, all knives listed in our store are made totally by hand, "old school", no machinery or power hammers involved. No pre-fabricated pieces at all. Each knife takes anywhere from 3-7 days to make and are one of a kind.
