There is a hole in the side of handle (see photo) not sure what purpose it's for, possible for displaying. The back of bowl is engraved. Marked: with the Hanau hallmarks, the importers mark for Berthold Muller, hallmarked with a leaf, .925, date letter "j" Measurements: 7 1/8" in length, 2 15/16" in width at the crossbow, and the bowl is 2" in width Monograms: none.
