Description: Cabinet card photograph of a woman identified as "Ida Hamm" on the reverse. Ida L. Hamm was born 8 October 1869 in Springfield Twp, Seven Valleys, York, Pennsylvania, daughter of Jacob Hamm (1830 - 1914) and Margaret Rebecca Hildebrand (1830 - 1901). On the 4th of March, 1905, she became the wife of widower Peter Henry Grove, born 29 February 1868, son of John Grove and Sarah Williams. Peter died 31 October 1937 in York and was laid to rest beside his parents and his first wife, Ellen (1867 - 1902), in East Codorus Cemetery, York, Pennsylvania. Ida passed away 15 March 1961 and rests near her parents in St. Peter's Cemetery, Seven Valleys. Also available in the store is a photo of her sister, Maggie Amelia (Hamm) Roser. Her portrait measures 4.25 x 6.5 inches and came from the Buttorf photography studio in York, Pennsylvania. Card is in very good condition to excellent for its age, but as to be expected with a photo over 100 years old, it isn't perfect. There is a chip along the lower left edge of the photograph..
