Radio powers up and I was able to receive stations from all over the world on just a short piece of wire. However this is a 72 year old radio and will no doubt require restoration/service . One thing notable is when moving the band switch the shudder that covers the frequency scale at times does line up right however is you wiggle the switch back and forth it will line up correctly.
