Lovely 1970's vintage hand painted, oval hinged, enamel trinket/pill box, in it's original gift box with the small "book" about Halcyon Days Enamels, by Bilston and Battersea Halcyon Days of Great Britain. Decorated with a central celtic knot panel and motto border. Top is "This and the giver are thine forever", with a mirror inside top andfloral design in bottom. The outer box is a deep pink color, and proper stampingsare on the bottom of the box. Colors may look darker or lighter in photographs. Approximately 1.75" long x 1" high This is a beautiful and genuine Battersea box purchased during the 70's. The outside and inside mirror are in excellent condition (no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration to this item), first quality. The overall condition is excellent vintage. This box was kept on a shelf as part of a collection - never used.
