Description: H J Wood Burslem Stafforshire, UK Mid-Century Decorative Pitcher Your guests will pick it up when they walk through the door. This colorful pitcher with a 17th Century cottage depiction will catch the eye of anyone. Crafted between 1948 and 1980, this pitcher stands 10 ½” to the top of the spout and 6” wide from spout to handle. The scene shows three men sitting outside a cottage, drinking ale in the Springtime. The piece displays hand-painted colors of green, red, yellow, brown, and blue. The whole pitcher is brushed with an antiqued greenish-brown. There is no crazing or cracks. There are no chips on the important part of the pitcher, but there is a small chip on the bottom that does not infringe on the artistic design. Look at the picture of the bottom.
