This whirlwind overview of Arizona's highest office helps put more recent events -- like the wrangling over a paid holiday honoring Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., the close-to-tie 1990 general election that required a run-off for Governor, and allegations of influence buying involving Arizona's Senators and members of the state legislature -- in perspective. The first version of GUV: THE MUSICAL ran through the February, 1991 run-off election, and was then modified to include more recent shenanigans.
