Description: Essen 1970 (CD) Guru Guru (Garden Of Delights) 3 tracksFrom October 22nd to 25th 1970 the 3rd Essen Pop and Blues Festival took place in the Grugahalle, with groups like Guru Guru, Xhol, Embryo, Fotheringhay, East of Eden, Gun, Q 65, Quiver and Taste.Roland Verheyen, an employee of the organizer Konrad Mallison, recorded the whole event directly from the mixing desk at that time. His widow Margot had kept the tapes until today, but in the meantime about half of them had been recorded over. At least, a part has been saved and could now be acquired by Garden of Delights. After elaborate post-production, but without distorting the sound image, Guru Guru's performance was ready for release.The color booklet of 36 pages contains a detailed history of the early days of Guru Guru, an eleven-page discography, cover reprints and partly previously unpublished pictures.
