It is a green, orange, and red note that is dated 2008, bear the signatures of Maria Antonieta del Cid de Bonilla and Manuel Augusto Alonzo Araujo, and measures 156 x 67 mm. Its obverse side features flying quetzal bird, Mayan glyph as registration device, stylized temple with glyphs, Jose Maria Orellana and Mayan bird. Its reverse side shows standing Mayan man and glyphs from jade Leyden plate (placa de Leyden), trees and Bank of Guatemala headquarters building in Guatemala City (Edificio del Banco de Guatemala), circular Mayan carving (ara de Tikal) and Mayan glyph. Though there is no security thread, there is still a watermark of a shadow image.
