Description: This is a vintage undivided postcard, unposted and featuring a view of the Pabst's Whitefish Bay Resort in Milwuakee. Postcard is titled in English and German and reads Greetings from Milwaukee as well as Gruss aus Milwaukee. Postcard shows visitors lounging on the resort's lawn overlooking Lake Michigan. The Whitefish Bay Resort opened in 1889 by brewer Frederick Pabst and reportedly hosted 15,000 visitors each weekend during summer months. The resort included a hotel, restaurant, beer garden and bandshell. Later, an amusement park was added. In 1914, the Whitefish Bay Resort closed and the lakeshore land was redeveloped into 17 lakefront residential lots.
