Description: Up for auction is a Griswold large block logo Erie, Pennsylvania, USA number 12 cast-iron skillet with heat ring. The model number is 719. These pans were manufactured between approximately 1920 through 1930. The skillet is in remarkable condition for its age. There are no cracks, chips or repairs made to the pan. The lettering is clear and distinct. The cooking surface has some typical utensil marks, but no sulfur or rust pitting noted. Some of the original milling marks are visible on some of the cooking surface as well as distinct milling markings along the sides of the skillet. There is no wobble for this pan, but it does have a slight tick side to side that is corrected with three index cards. The pan does not spin when placed on my glass stove top. These older pans are remarkably light for their size, but does have a helper handle opposite to the typical cast-iron handle on these pans. Thanks so much for checking out the auction!!
