It also prevents T-Post clips and insulators (not included) from slipping. The posts are sometimes referred to as Y-Posts. They are made of rail steel with two layers of protective enamel and a prime coat finish for maximum rust protection. No dig installation is made even easier by using the Everbilt Metal Fence Post Driver (Model 901147EB) to pound posts into the ground.
