Description: Estate FindMuncie PotteryNo. 441Art DecoVase We offer a No. 441 Art Deco vase with horizontal ribbing introduced in 1929 by Muncie Pottery Company in Muncie, Indiana which was in production from 1919-1939.The vase is finished in a green glaze with a blued green secondary drip glaze.The base is marked with the impressed Muncie die cast logo. The base is also inscribed with “5A”, “LV/125” written in pencil and “44A” glazed in a faint blue smear.The vase measures 6 1/2” in height with a body width of 5”. The top opening measures 3 3/4” in diameter and the base measures 3” diameter.As seen in the photographs, there is a 1 1/2” diagonal hairline at the upper rim that can be felt with a fingernail. It can be seen at the top rim edge but does not appear on the inner wall of the vase.The Muncie No. 441 ribbed vase is presented in fairly good vintage condition with no chips or repairs.
