Description: Regal Crown was started in Bury, England in 1953 as a partnership between Trebor Bassett and Murray-Allen. Trebor manufactured the sweets in England, and Murray-Allen became their exclusive distributor in the United States. This is a Murray-Allen Regal Crown tin with the Grecian Idyl pattern. The tin has a unique scalloped oval design with a handled lid. The sides and top of the tin are lithographed to imitate a classic Greek vase in the Wedgewood style in blue, white, and gold. The bottom of the tin has the Regal Crown logo and says, "Imported Superior Quality Exclusive Confections A Murray-Allen Import New York NY Los Angeles Calif. The tin was made in England.This tin is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The lid comes off easily.The colors are still bright and shiny.The tin is 5.25 inches long and 3.5 inches wide.
