Though the band continued for several years with equally distinctive guitarists after leader Joe Walsh left in the early '70s, the Walsh period is regarded as the band's real heyday, and is the focus of this collection, where hard-charging boogie rock is occasionally leavened by more low-key, reflective moments like "Tend My Garden" and "Collage." --- Designed to supersede the previous MCA compilation 15 Greatest Hits, this Greatest Hits features 16 James Gang tracks remastered for CD, plus detailed notes and commentary.
