I believe it is machine and also hand made, not too sure about it. . The item could be use as a bedspread eventually too. While describing it, I found a light halo storage spot that I wasn't able to find it when I went to take a picture. Or else it's in good condition, as if it was never been used. It's about 85" x 85". Under close inspection I noticed a light faded yellow area very hard to see on the back of the quilt as shown in last pic. Or else the item is in great condition, as if it was never used.
